The short answer
Hostinger VPS pricing starts at $6.49/month for KVM 1 (1 vCPU, 4 GB RAM) on a 24-month term and goes up to $25.99/month for KVM 8 (8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM). Renewal prices are higher: $11.99 to $49.99/month. For most small businesses, KVM 2 at $8.79/month, renewing at $14.99, is the plan we would pick.
Below you will find every plan on every billing term, what the renewal really costs over four years, and a plain guide to which plan matches which kind of work. If you came here to run n8n, we wrote a separate n8n on Hostinger VPS setup guide; this page stays on the pricing.
Why we track Hostinger VPS prices closely
At Axel SEO we build websites, Google Business Profiles and automations for local service businesses in Florida. Some of that work lives on shared hosting, and some of it needs a server of its own: an automation engine, a staging copy of a client site, a small app that answers form leads after hours. When we need a server, we usually rent it from Hostinger, so we read these price tables for our own budget, not only for this article.
The question we hear most from owners is not "which plan is the fastest". It is "what will this cost me in year three". That is the number most pricing pages hide, so it is the number we put first in the tables below.
Hostinger VPS plans and prices, November 2026
Hostinger sells four KVM plans. They share the same features (full root access, a dedicated IP, a managed firewall, a malware scanner, free weekly backups and the AI assistant) and differ only in CPU, memory, disk and bandwidth. That makes the choice simpler than it looks: you are buying resources, not features.
| Plan | Resources | 24-month promo | Paid upfront | Renews at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KVM 1 | 1 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe, 4 TB bandwidth | $6.49/month | $155.76 | $11.99/month |
| KVM 2 | 2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB NVMe, 8 TB bandwidth | $8.79/month | $210.96 | $14.99/month |
| KVM 4 | 4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 200 GB NVMe, 16 TB bandwidth | $12.99/month | $311.76 | $28.99/month |
| KVM 8 | 8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM, 400 GB NVMe, 32 TB bandwidth | $25.99/month | $623.76 | $49.99/month |
Monthly, 12-month or 24-month: how the term changes the price
The headline price always assumes the longest term, paid upfront. Hostinger also sells each KVM plan monthly and yearly, and the gap is wide enough to matter.
Month to month, the first month is discounted and every month after that is billed at the full monthly rate. That is the most expensive way to run a server for a year, but it is also the cheapest way to test whether a project needs a VPS at all.
| Plan | Monthly billing | 12-month term | 24-month term |
|---|---|---|---|
| KVM 1 | $9.99 first month, then $19.49 | $6.99, renews at $12.99 | $6.49, renews at $11.99 |
| KVM 2 | $13.99 first month, then $24.49 | $9.99, renews at $16.99 | $8.79, renews at $14.99 |
| KVM 4 | $25.99 first month, then $42.99 | $14.99, renews at $30.99 | $12.99, renews at $28.99 |
| KVM 8 | $50.99 first month, then $73.99 | $28.49, renews at $53.99 | $25.99, renews at $49.99 |
What a Hostinger VPS really costs over four years
Most people buy the 24-month term, then renew once. Add the two periods together and you get the number worth budgeting:
The four-year average is still lower than the renewal price on its own, because the first two years are discounted. It is not a reason to avoid Hostinger; it is a reason to compare hosts on the renewal price, not the promo.
- <strong>KVM 1:</strong> $155.76 for the first 24 months, $287.76 for the next 24. About $9.24/month averaged over four years.
- <strong>KVM 2:</strong> $210.96, then $359.76. About $11.89/month over four years.
- <strong>KVM 4:</strong> $311.76, then $695.76. About $20.99/month over four years.
- <strong>KVM 8:</strong> $623.76, then $1,199.76. About $37.99/month over four years.
Which KVM plan for which small-business workload
CPU is rarely what runs out first on a small-business server. Memory is. Every app, database and control panel you add takes a share of RAM, so the right plan is the one with enough memory for everything you plan to run at the same time, plus room to breathe.
KVM 1 (4 GB RAM): one job, done well. A single automation engine with light workflows, a staging copy of one website, a private VPN, or a small Node.js or Python app. Fine for testing ideas before you commit to more.
KVM 2 (8 GB RAM): the plan we see fit most local businesses and small agencies. Room for an automation tool plus its database, a few WordPress sites behind a control panel, or an app with a background worker. The step up from KVM 1 costs a little over two dollars a month on the 24-month term.
KVM 4 (16 GB RAM): for agencies hosting several client projects on one server, AI agents that run all day, or tools that process files and images. This is also where the renewal jump gets steep, from $12.99 to $28.99, so size it from real usage, not from fear of running out.
KVM 8 (32 GB RAM): rarely the right starting point for a small business. It makes sense for heavy databases, many concurrent users, or a team running several resource-hungry apps on one machine.
What every Hostinger VPS plan includes
Because the features are the same on all four plans, you do not need to upgrade to unlock anything. What you get on every KVM plan, per the Hostinger VPS page on the day we checked:
- Full root access and a dedicated IP address.
- Free automatic weekly backups, restorable from the dashboard.
- Built-in firewall management and a malware scanner.
- Ready-made templates: Linux distributions, control panels and preconfigured apps.
- Hostinger Agent, an AI assistant for setup and troubleshooting, plus a browser terminal.
- A choice of 10 data centers on 4 continents, including Boston for US East Coast traffic.
- A 30-day money-back guarantee.
The mistake that makes a VPS feel overpriced
Buying the biggest plan "to be safe". We see it most with owners who had a slow shared site and want the problem gone for good. A slow website is usually caused by heavy images, too many plugins or a theme doing too much, and a bigger server hides that for a while without fixing it. Then renewal arrives at two or three times the promo price.
The better path: start with the plan that fits what you run today, watch memory use in hPanel for a few weeks, and upgrade only when it stays high. The second mistake is forgetting that a VPS is unmanaged in the day-to-day sense. Updates and security patches are your job, or the job of whoever manages it for you. Weekly backups help, but take a manual snapshot before any big change.
What we would pick in your position
If you run a local service business or a small agency and you know you need a server, we would take KVM 2 on the 24-month term. It has enough memory to run an automation engine, a database and a small app side by side, and its renewal price stays under fifteen dollars a month.
When a VPS is not the right choice: if all you need is a fast, reliable business website with email, a VPS adds maintenance you do not need. A shared or cloud hosting plan handles that with less work. And if you would rather have the server and its automations built and looked after for you, that is what our AI automation service covers.
